The Open – House – Event at AGS - Automation Greifsysteme Schwope GmbH became a successful premiere.
Numerous Guests followed the invitation of the automation specialist to Bergisch Gladbach. Premium highlight was the new infeed system IZS.
About 100 guests have been welcome by Marc Schwope, CEO of AGS - Automation Greifsysteme Schwope GmbH, in the production facility in Bergisch Gladbach.
First time in the history of the automation specialist and inventor of the EOAT modular construction system the customers were invited to an Open House Event.
“We have been overwhelmed by the positive response”, stated Marc Schwope obviously happy. The walkabout, showing new, interesting techniques for automation and optimization of manufacturing, had to be parted in several groups due to the number of visitors. Suppliers and partners were also present, showing their products in additional booths.
For many participants the center of interest has been the IZS, an intelligent infeed system for bulk material e.g. for the infeed of inserts like nuts and clamps to an injection mounding machine. The camera guided AGS infeed system allows to orientate insert while picking them.
The vision system detects not only the position and orientation of the insert, but also identifies it, allowing to handle different inserts in one go.
The IZS was shown in an application where inserts were handed over to a demolding robot. Besides regular participation in trade shows the Open House Event shall get a fix position in the AGS diary. “Due to the excellent feedback we received, we will invite our customers to such an event on a periodical basis”, ensures Marc Schwope.
